Tutorial #20 : Golden Red Makeup Look ft Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Shadow - The Siren

Helloooooo~

So I finally used my Marc Jacobs' The Siren palette. I got this months ago and the reason I bought it was because the price was marked down to RM143 from RM207. But even if it wasn't on discount, I was tempted to get it anyway cause of the gorgeous color hues. Will post a review on it soon, hopefully before I have a grandchildren. Haha. As soon as I saw it, I immediately knew what makeup look I'm gonna create. Felt so Mockingjay and Girl on Fire inspired. Dah kenapa tah.

The ingredients:

Step #1:
Mix Makeup Geek e/s in the shade Creme Brule & Peach Smoothie and swipe it on the crease. I seriously cannot imagine how did I do my makeup before the existence of these e/s in my life. Oh wait, I can. My makeup was horrific, like please just stay at home and get in the fridge kinda horrific.

Step #2:
I wanted the outer corner of the eye to look reddish so I chose Country Girl from Makeup Geek and place it on the lower crease. Blend blend blend sampai terkehel kena tampal kokyok dekat belakang badan.

Step #3:
Take the third e/s from the palette, the one in coppery bronze color and pat it onto the 2/3 of the eyelid.

Step #4:
Use the second color from the palette, the reddish color and place it on the outer V of the eyelid, blending it into the crease.

Step #5:
Next, take the light gold from the palette and use it to highlight the inner corner. And then dip a cotton bud in a makeup remover and clean up the edge of the eyelid to make a sharp neat line.

Step #6:
Wing out your eyeliner and mascara your lashes. Put on your falsies if you like. And don't mind the bumps on my eyeliner. Will fix that later on.

Step #7:
And it has been fixed. Haha. Use the same e/s that we use on the lid and put it on the lower lashline to make the ombre effect, from gold to copper to red. A small hooded like mine, I love having colors on my lower lashline since the e/s on my lid is not very visible when I look straight up. Sepet katakan.

And you're done. I mean, I'm done. Haha.

2014 FIFA World Cup Theme Makeup Look : This is Brazil~

The time has come. Finally it's here. I've been waiting for this exact moment for God knows how long. Oh the excitement. The sensation. The uproar.

For finally having the excuse to pop on these bright colorful on my eyes! Yeah baby.

Oh, you didn't actually think I was talking about football didn't you? Nooooo of course not. I'm not a football fan. I don't know which team is the strongest. I don't know all the countries participating. And I don't wanna pretend that I know the player. I've heard names like Christiano Ronaldo, Messi and what not. Christiano Ronaldo I know cause he's on the KFC ads. Others? Let's just say if I bumped into them at Bukit Bintang, I'm just gonna see them as foreigners on vacation.

There's only one football player that I know and admire.

Khalid Jamlus.

Kehkehkeh.

So, Brazil has the honor of being the host country for this year's World Cup, that much I know. Seeing the green and yellow and blue of the country's flag pretty much everywhere now, just intrigue and inspire me to do this makeup look. Perfect occasion to pop on some yellow and green.

Quick side note, you can use any e/s that your have that similar to the colors that I used. I used several palettes because that's my only resources.

Step #1:
Prime your eyelids first. Then take Mauve from Lorac Pro palette and swipe in on the crease of your eyelids. Crease atau nama sebenar soket mata.

Step #2:
Use any white or sticky base and put it on the eyelids. I use NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in the color Milk to intensify the e/s colors.

Step #3:
Take Bammi, the yellow e/s from the Ultra Mattes Bright Palette from Sleek cosmetic and pop it on the 2/3 of your eyelids.

Step #4:
Mixing the color Dragon Fly and Cricket from the same palette, put it on the rest of eyelids and blend upwards into the crease.

Step #5:
Take the same jumbo eye pencil just now and line your waterline with it, extending it on the lower lash line as well.

Step #6:
Take the color Chaos from Urban Decay Vice palette or any dark blue e/s and blend it on the lower lash line.

Use White from Lorac Pro palette and pop it in the inner corner of the eye.

Step #7:

For eyeliner, I used Inglot Matte AMC Eyeliner Gel in #83.

Step #8:

Coat on your lashes with your favorite mascara.

Prittttttt *blow whistle*
Done!

Final look:

Another thing that makes me excited about World Cup is the Bolario Bear from 7 Eleven. I''ve been collecting stickers from 7E and now I have filled up 2 collector cards. Time to redeem those cute football teddy bears. Come home to mama. *wipe saliva*

May the best team wins!

Review : Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick (Babette & Geradium)

Hello beautiful people.

If you are a beauty Youtuber fanatic and you have your dinner in front of your laptop watching makeup tutorials by beauty gurus, you most likely would have known how Lime Crime lipsticks are being used in heaps and heaps of tutorials. I get so hooked when the beauty gurus talk about mutual products repeatedly that I practically need to clean my floor afterwards cause it's flooded with my drools.

My biggest influences have always been my fav beauty gurus, Nicole Guerriero & Jaclyn Hill. Seriously these two beauties can be the ambassador for EVERY cosmetics cause they make EVERYTHING looks beautiful that you are so convinced you can't breath another second without having them.

So anyways, I went to Lime Crime's website and was glad to find that they do ship internationally even to Malaysia at a flat rate of $10.95 (~RM37). I knew in my heart that I need to get my lips on 2 shades, Babette & Geradium. Geradium was available but as for Babette, being one of the most demanded shades, of course it was sold out at that time. Surprise surprise. I didn't get Geradium yet cause I didn't want to waste money on the shipping fee for one tube of lipstick. See? Self control.
*flips shawl*

So I entered my email to be notified when Babette is back in stock. After almost 2 months later, I got an email notifying that Babette is available to be purchased online. Tunggu lagi? Memang gedebuk gedebak pelepuk pelepak terus order both Babette & Geradium. Nampak tak? Laju kan?
Self control? Girl, I don't understand a word you're saying.

After 2 weeks++, they finally arrived at my doorsteps. Haaaaaaa~ (that's an angelic sound over there).

First of all, the box itself wins my heart. When I opened it and saw the unicorn & polka dots print with a neat and bright green wrapper inside, I went all "awwwwww". Pfftttt. Woman. Who says they are so hard to predict?

How cute is that? I love how meticulous and attentive Lime Crime is even down to it's packaging. They do understand how the tiniest thing like fancy bright wrapper can make woman goes all squealing in excitement.

Like I said previously, I bought 2 lipsticks in Geradium & Babette. They cost $18 each (~RM61).
They come in soft purple tube with hologram unicorn on it and they have a sweet vanilla scent which the same, if not stronger, as MAC lipsticks.

To me, on the first glance it looks like a toy lipstick. Haha. But that's what makes its so unique. The tube is not your typical sleek black or gold color, and you definitely can't find a unicorn lipstick anywhere else. You pop open your lipstick and people can recognize it from miles away.
"Yeah girl it's Lime Crime alright" *snaps fingers*

(L-R) : Geradium, Babette

Indoor swatches:

Under direct sunlight:

Babette ~

Babette is described as a pastel coral color. It's a beautiful peachy nude with slight sheen formula. It is super super pigmented and creamy. However, while everybody is saying how smooth and easily Babette glides on their lips, I find quite the opposite. One swipe gives the utmost pigmentation but I find the application is a bit jerky. The formula of this lipstick is very thick and somehow it has kinda waxy feel to it.

But fret not, it is still an awesome lipstick. I find its best to blend the color with your finger once you have swiped it on the lips to give a smooth blended look.

Geradium ~

In the website, Geradium is described as a coral pink that is so intense, it might just be radioactive. And they weren't kidding. Geradium is a really unique neon coral color. It's intense and bright that it stained my lips even when I wiped it off with wet tissues. When I was wearing this color, I felt so anxious cause I felt like a bomb squad is gonna break into my house any minute to disable my lips. Haha.

I find Geradium is a tad bit easier to apply than Babette. Pigmentation and texture wise, the BOMB.
*please don't break in through my windows*

MY FINAL VERDICT

Application : 3/5
Like I said, it feels kinda waxy and thick. The application is easy but not that smooth to apply.

Pigmentation : 5/5
Super duper pigmented I tell you. Gives full coverage with one swipe.

Texture : 4/5
The formula of the lipstick is not flat matte, but it's not so glossy as well. It has slight sheen to it and if I were to compare to MAC's lipstick formula, it's in between matte & cremesheen.

Longevity : 4.5/5
Stay put for 5-6 hours and left a stain on the lips even after wiping off.

All in all, I love the unique colors of Lime Crime lipsticks. I think it's almost impossible to find dupe for these lippies. Would love to try other colors next time.
