Tutorial #14 : Violet Galaxy Makeup Look

Hello beautiful.

Today's look revolves around some blue violet purple-ish color with reminds me a lot of galaxy bima sakti dragon ball ada 7 bijik semuanya. Haha. I used mainly the eyeshadows from Urban Decay Electric palette and I love love love how it turns out.

Step #1:

Prime your eyelids to prevent the e/s from creasing. Then take any soft pink, I used Makeup Geek's e/s in the shade Cupcake and swipe it on the socket of the eye. Blend the e/s upwards secukup rasa sesedap hati sedingin angin gemerlapan malam. Ewah kau nak mekap ke nak zapin.

Excuse my greasy skin. I usually fix them up after I've done my eyes.

Step #2:

Take Revolt e/s from the UB Electric palette and put it on the 1/3 of the eyelid and on the inner corner. It's okay to put just a sheer layer of it cause later on you can go back and intensify it.

Step #3:

Mix Gonzo and Chaos from the same palette and load it on the 2/3 of the eyelid.

Step #4:

Take Urban and load it on the outer corner of the eyelid. Then you just need to whatever left on the brush and blend it with the blue e/s and also on the crease. The key here is to blend blend blend sampai patah tangan.

Step #5:

I said step, but I really meant here is steps. Haha.

Take Revolt, the silver e/s and put it on the inner corner. Then take any purple eyeliner and put it on the waterline. I used Sephora Crayon eyeliner in Purple Stilettos for that.

Next, mixing Gonzo and Urban, put it on the lower lashline and blend it using Cupcake e/s.

I forgot to highlight my brow bone here but you can go ahead and do that.

Throw in some wing eyeliner, mascara and falsies, and it's finished!

Now off you go pergi berjoyah bergebang dengan mata violet galaxy.

Sephora Haul : Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Glam Glow, Tarte, NYX

I know I might be getting big boooo, long boooo, or boooo keretapi for this, but I finally went to Nu Sentral!

Tak sempat nak pegi mek oi walaupun dekat sekentot je. As I was looking attractive with my jaw wide opened and drooling over the spacious and luxurious mall, my feet were unknowingly dragging me to the red dangerous zone, Sephora. Bad bad feet. I should put you in my not-so-fresh gym socks for a week. You are lucky I don't go to gym that often. Count your toes. I mean, blessings.

So there I was, throwing this and that in the basket as if tornado was going to hit and all these beauty products were going to be my life supply. I usually will splurge at Sephora only when I get the 10% discount voucher. That way I can save more and accumulate extra points for my next discount voucher. Quick disclaimer, I am not in any way trying to show off by listing all the products that I bought together with the prices. It's merely a point of reference. Sometimes I felt like, uuuuu I wanna try XXX cosmetic but I wonder how much does it cost and if it's within my budget oh wait lemme google it first to see the price in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) oh wait I can't find it oh mannnn that sucks now I have to step out from my cozy bed and go out Sephora just to know the price screwwww you Internet. So again, just as reference for you makeup junkie out there in case want to look up the price before buying it.

1. Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara - RM121

The reason why I was intrigued by this mascara was because it fits my dire need of a decent mascara for my lower lashes. Gosh, this mascara is just the bomb! The small rounded wand gives precise application for those tiny bottom lashes and it lengthens them like nobody's business. It's great for the upper lashes as well, that is if you have high level of patient. Girl I'm talking about Everest Mountain kinda high. Haha. Since the wand is quite small, it takes time to get it done. Macam, alahai ini kalau tanam pokok pisang sampai berbuah petik buat goreng cekodok jugak la baru siap. BUT, it is so worth the time and the sighs. It separates the lashes & lengthen them and you could build it up without getting any clumps. And since the wand is rounded, you can apply your mascara in 360 degree kinda way. You know, apply ikut kiri boleh kanan boleh, depan belakang atas bawah menyerong menyenget melintang tertonggek tertungging terpeleot, all can.

2. Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick (301) - RM121

Well, while I was at the Givenchy section (which I neverrrrrrr even take a glance at whenever I'm at Sephora), I couldn't help but notice this lipstick. What made my heart pounded so hard was the packaging. IS THAT LEATHER OMG GIVE IT TO ME NOW WOMAN! Punggaaaaaa. Tu dia punya loglaq beli sebab packaging. Kot seluaq leather logik akai jugak la boleh pakai. Ni lipstick leather nak tayang tang mana tak tau. Kena tindik sangkut kat hidung keting keting kot. Kehkehkeh. Anyway, this color particularly stood out and it swatched beautifully on my hand. So you know, it's not just because of the packaging. The lipstick itself is great. Yeah keep on telling yourself that Nur Fatin. Ok bye bye jangan beletiaq.

3. Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able Full Cover Concealer - RM90

Yauwl know I got me some acne prone skin. So I'm always on the look out for good high coverage concealer. I've tried this once and I'm loving the creamy formula. It doesn't hold on to dry patches and is easy to blend. So far so good. I'll keep yauwl updated. Anak la ayam ya aaa auwww~

4. Sephora 12HR Crayon Eye Pencil (31 Purple Stilettos) - RM30

Just because I need a purple eyeliner. And this one is soooo creamy and glides on like a crayon. Isn't the name is so genius? Purple stilettos. 2 of my favorite things. Naming an eyeliner as stilettos. Just like naming your pet turtle as hamster.

5. NYX Retractable Eye liner (Golden Olive) - RM20

Because I need it. And this is pigmented as well. Kalau masuk angin takkan aku beli pulak kan.

6. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara - RM22

A travel mini size mascara. That's why it's cheap. They displayed this at the cashier counter and as soon as I saw it, being all cute toink toink and all, I just had to. "Cik tolong bungkuih hat ni sekali". I think I'm gonna get it in full size when it runs out. Separates the lashes? Check. Lengthening the lashes macam bulu mata unta? Got it. Clump free? Yes, percuma.

7. Glam Glow Gift Sexy Set - RM240

Saving the last for best. Haaaaaaaaa~ (angelic voices)

So I was going to get the Supermud Clearing Treatment mask (the ones in white) and then the BA recommended me to get this set instead as it comes with full size (34g) Supermud mask along with 15g jar of Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment mask (in black). And the best part was...wait for it...wait for it...wait some more...it was at the same price as 1 full size mask! Such a steal. Even a snob will grab this off the shelf.
The gift box is reversible so you can give this as present for her (pink side) or for him (blue side). Confuse? Here lemme show ya.

Putaq pusing tarik tonyoh, nak pink boleh nak biru boleh. Cute kan?

So if you ever plan to buy the Glam Glow mud mask, get this gift set cause it is sooooo worth it. Please please *pelok kaki*

That's all for now. I plan to have a full review on all the items I bought. Yes I know I said that on the previous haul too and I didn't finish reviewing them yet. But that's just life. Sometimes things don't happened exactly as planned. Excuse me miss sangat excuses kau.

2014 FIFA World Cup Theme Makeup Look : This is Brazil~

The time has come. Finally it's here. I've been waiting for this exact moment for God knows how long. Oh the excitement. The sensation. The uproar.

For finally having the excuse to pop on these bright colorful on my eyes! Yeah baby.

Oh, you didn't actually think I was talking about football didn't you? Nooooo of course not. I'm not a football fan. I don't know which team is the strongest. I don't know all the countries participating. And I don't wanna pretend that I know the player. I've heard names like Christiano Ronaldo, Messi and what not. Christiano Ronaldo I know cause he's on the KFC ads. Others? Let's just say if I bumped into them at Bukit Bintang, I'm just gonna see them as foreigners on vacation.

There's only one football player that I know and admire.

Khalid Jamlus.

Kehkehkeh.

So, Brazil has the honor of being the host country for this year's World Cup, that much I know. Seeing the green and yellow and blue of the country's flag pretty much everywhere now, just intrigue and inspire me to do this makeup look. Perfect occasion to pop on some yellow and green.

Quick side note, you can use any e/s that your have that similar to the colors that I used. I used several palettes because that's my only resources.

Step #1:

Prime your eyelids first. Then take Mauve from Lorac Pro palette and swipe in on the crease of your eyelids. Crease atau nama sebenar soket mata.

Step #2:

Use any white or sticky base and put it on the eyelids. I use NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in the color Milk to intensify the e/s colors.

Step #3:

Take Bammi, the yellow e/s from the Ultra Mattes Bright Palette from Sleek cosmetic and pop it on the 2/3 of your eyelids.

Step #4:

Mixing the color Dragon Fly and Cricket from the same palette, put it on the rest of eyelids and blend upwards into the crease.

Step #5:

Take the same jumbo eye pencil just now and line your waterline with it, extending it on the lower lash line as well.

Step #6:

Take the color Chaos from Urban Decay Vice palette or any dark blue e/s and blend it on the lower lash line.

Use White from Lorac Pro palette and pop it in the inner corner of the eye.

Step #7:

For eyeliner, I used Inglot Matte AMC Eyeliner Gel in #83.

Step #8:

Coat on your lashes with your favorite mascara.

Prittttttt *blow whistle*

Done!

Final look:

Another thing that makes me excited about World Cup is the Bolario Bear from 7 Eleven. I''ve been collecting stickers from 7E and now I have filled up 2 collector cards. Time to redeem those cute football teddy bears. Come home to mama. *wipe saliva*

#LeaveYourMarc : Marc Jacobs Beauty Contest

So, Marc Jacobs Beauty line has finally made it's way to Sephora Malaysia. The official launching was on 17th of April 2014, which had made me scream "Syaitoooonnnnnnn" because I just had vowed to myself not to splurge in makeup a day before.

Anyways, I guess to commemorate the awesomeness of having Marc Jacobs cosmetics in Sephora, SephoraMY has teamed up with SephoraSG and came out with the #leaveyourmac beauty contest. All you gotta do is snap a picture of you marking things or places with your lipstick in the most creative and distinctively unique way. All pictures must be uploaded to instagram and tagged with #leaveyourmarc and #sephorasg. 5 winners are entitled to Marc Jacobs beauty set worth RM572/S$243!

Normally, I don't get really worked up with this kinda contest. Or ANY kinda contest for that matter. I'm more of a oh-look-that-person-wins-ok-claps-claps kinda person. Especially to compete for only 1 winning spot. I rather sit tight and lay back eating popcorn and wait for the winner. Haha.

BUT, since they wanted to pick top 5 winners and reward them with a handsome RM572 beauty set, I just had to sit my bones straight and told them "Okay bones, get yourself off of the couch and ditch the popcorn and let's do our best to win this. The popcorn can wait. Simpan dalam tupperware."

And off I went, kissing here and there till my lips were sore like I just had botox injection.

Tutorial #8 : Emerald Green Hutan Hujan Khatulistiwa

I have always wanted to try out a green smokey eyes using only matte eyeshadows. I feel like this look is very forest-y as it revolves around green with some warm and dark brown colors. Forest-y, mampu?

It's more to an evening and night time look but heck, if you wanna wear it on daytime during your car service appointment or sewaktu sesi mesyuarat JKKKK..KKKK...KKKK kampung pisang, ain't nobody stopping you gewrl~ Rock it like you own it.

Step #1:

Prime your eyelids using eye primer of your choice. I used MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre to prevent my e/s from creasing and to even out my eyelids.

Step #2:

Using a matte warm brown color, swipe it on the crease of the eyes and blend it upwards. Here I used my HG transition color, Creme Brulee by Makeup Geek.

Step #3:
Now use Makeup Geek's e/s in Cocoa Bear to darken up the crease.

Step #4:
Use any sticky base and put it all over the eyelid. This is to ensure the green e/s that we use next is going to pop. I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. I also put the base on the inner corner of the eye.

Step #5:
Now for the star of the show. I used here the color Fern from Sleek Ultra Mattes Dark Palette and put it all over the lid. Then take White e/s from Lorac Pro Palette and highlight the inner corner.

Step #6:
Take dark brown of your choice and darken up the outer V of the eyelid. I used Espresso from the Lorac Pro Palette.

Step #7:
Take a green eyeliner and pop it on the lash line. Then use mix Fern and Espresso and smoke it out on the lower lash line.

Step #8:
Wing out your eyeliner, put on your mascara and falsies and off you go to mesyuarat tingkap.

It always looks better when you finish off with eye liner and mascara isn't it?

Final Look :

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
