Review & Swatches : Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Shadow - The Lolita

Hello beauties!

It's review and swatches time. C'mon say it with me. It's time for what now?
Review and swatches time. Yeayyyy.

Don't you just hate kegedikan ini?

I've been meaning to do a post on Marc Jacobs palette for quite some time now but I just haven't got the chance to do it cause I've been busy. You know, busy buying more makeup. Haha. But don't worry world, I'm here now so let's get on to the review now shall we?

Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Shadow - The Lolita ♥

The Lolita palette comes in this black skinny packaging with 7 neutral eyeshadows ranging from matte to metallic sheen finish. Pretty sleek right?

*tolong tepi sikit tolong tepi sikit*

This palette retails for RM207 and can be purchased at all Sephora Malaysia. I did not purchase this product on my own. I basically won this palette on Marc Jacobs beauty contest which I did a post on HERE if you want to cek cek cekidaut.

Buka kotak ada pouch, buka pouch ada palette, buka palette ada plastik, buka plastik zam zam ala kazam ada eyeshadows.

Each eyeshadow does not have unique name given to it and it is just numbered from 1 to 7.

#1
This is an off-white cream with matte finish eyeshadow. As you can see it's pretty powdery and has like a talc formulation which makes it very pigmented. Great for brow bone highlight and all over eyelid color.

#2
This color is described as matte nude eyeshadow. It's a soft brown eyeshadow with matte finish and works great as a transition color. I love that they include a transition color to blend all eye looks together. This way you don't have to bring additional individual blending eyeshadow along with the palette which sometimes can be sooooo irritating and inconvenience and..and the struggle and the hassle. Right? ....right?

Okay, grumpy issues alert.

#3

The third eyeshadow from this palette is this matte dark coffee brown which is the only neutral dark eyeshadow in this palette. Who needs more right? So you can pull off variety eye looks from soft neutral to dark smokey just like *snaps fingers twice* that, baby.

#4
This eyeshadow is described as metallic warm pink with iridescent glitter.

Iridescent pungkoq dia. Chunky glitter is more like it. This is my least favorite eyeshadow from this palette as it has a LOT of fall out and messy. Even when it stays in the palette it's messy. Maybe you can make it work with eye glitter primer but I don't fancy this one too much. Bye.

#5
This color is an iridescent pink with champagne sheen. It's very smooth and buttery and it gives that soft pink lustre when you put it all over the eyelids. Love.

#6
This eyeshadow comes off as a light peach sheen which again, is very buttery and pigmented. It gives you the luminous glow on the lid and is very pretty. Pretty, but no that unique.

#7
The last but no the least eyeshadow is this soft coppery rose with sheen finish. It is not too glowy and not too not glowy. Haha. It gives just nice and subtle sheen on the eyelids. Looks a little bit dark when is put on the lid compared to when swatched.

PROS:
- Fancy and sleek packaging
- Lightweight and easy to carry for travel
- Nice pigmentation except for that one guy
- Has complete basic neutrals range eyeshadow from matte to sheen and from soft neutral color to dark color
- Has a blending color which something that I really appreciate

CONS:
- No unique colors
- Expensive, considering that it only contains 7 basic eyeshadows. I think Naked palette has more great value for money

MY FINAL VERDICT:
I know the pros seem to outweigh the cons, but I don't really think it is worth it to spend RM207 for this simple basic eyeshadows. Well if you want to be fancy cause it's Marc Jacobs palette, then by all means go buy it. But the eyeshadows won't scream Marc on one eyelid and Jacobs on the other. I think it delivers the eyeshadow quality but the colors are not that unique.
